Pentecost Sunday is about the birth of the Church and the Holy Spirit surging us forward

Spiritual Surge Series

Praying, believing for a breakthrough, Spiritual surges, in family, finances, growth

Moving in God’s Surge!

The world sees summer surge like a covid virus, in the negative, but I see a God surge!

Num 21 Israel got stuck, background: attacked captured; vowed

Living on manna, now chance to live off plenty of the land- but it belonged to God

When we give our lives to Christ, we surrender everything to him, he is our provider

But their vow began to sour in their mouth

Number 21:4 But the people grew impatient on the way…

Impatient means grieved, vexed, short, they were ticked

They were no longer satisfied with God’s food but the world’s food, hankering

We want God but, on our terms, and conditions

The first foundation for spiritual surge; Jude 3 tells us to contend for the faith

God’s surge comes with a whole heart!

Means to fight with all our might; not willing to hold anything back

Vowing to God those conquered cities was a commitment of the heart

Growing up children’s chores, but slowly changed from chores to family

Israel went all-in with actions but not with heart; love

Heb 6:1 Let us move beyond the beginning teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity…

Here’s my heart Lord, speak what is true, truth comes only to willing hearts; surge

God’s surge comes by looking to Jesus!

God sent snakes, bite, dying, they repented and God gave them an answer

Bronze snake on the cross, Bronze symbolizes righteousness; Snake symbolizes sin

All they had to do was believe, looking on the cross would heal them, simple faith

Indicates that some bitten but did not believe to look on the cross, so simple

John 3:16 for God so loved the world, but what comes before it, how we believe verse 16?

John 3:14-15 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.

Jesus made it really simple for Nic, using the simplicity of Moses holding a pole

Jesus was made to be sin, if we look at our sin, believe

You cannot confess sin until you see it, but see it on the cross, forgiven!

God’s surge comes by knowing victory is won!

Continued on to beer, surging, vs 23 enemies would not let them pass

What do you do when surging in God but hit a roadblock?

Numbers 21:34 The LORD said to Moses, “Do not be afraid of him, for I have delivered him into your hands, along with his whole army and his land.”

Notice how it is all past tense, in Christ we already have the victory

If I knew the future, like Back to Future book

Joshua 3 leaders prepped the people, when you see Ark move; move out
