Breakthrough
We have justification and walk in sanctification; the reason we walk we know glory!
Bible teaches if we only have hope in this life; we are of all people most pitiful
If we don’t have hope of glorification, we will not see breakthroughs in your life
Glorification is the breakthrough, the promised hope, we have longed for
Romans 8:23 we… who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption… the redemption of our bodies.
Breakthrough!
Because it is the ultimate promise that God will give us our now breakthrough
Colossians 3:4 …when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.
Christ is now our life, we have a taste of his glory, but the final breakthrough is all
We have hope for now because of the final breakthrough
Glorification lifts up our heads to the final breakthrough
It was an incredible moment; our transformation was completed, sin was completely gone
How does the final breakthrough make any difference with now breakthroughs?
Revelation 14:13 …they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.
Our actions will follow with us! Personification literally our actions are speaking
Love is the certain breakthrough of living faith!
Our works even in love are so tainted by sin it can make no contribution to salvation
Rom 3:20 No one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law
In fact, the Bible teaches if saved by works, then we boast, that even by our love
But humility is what God desires of us, it is essential for our walk humbly
We cannot love and have works of love in our life without walking humbly
How do we love in our good works?
Eph 2:10 We are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works…
We were created for good works; without them our creation in Christ is unfulfilled
True faith is a faith that works through love
Breakthrough will come through actions of love; which always requires humility
Hope ignites breakthrough in a hopeless world!
Our glorification challenges the common worldly thinking; two main ideas
Death ends everything, annihilation; God with no judgment, Universalism
Annihilation or universal saved means what one does now makes no difference
This is a world without hope; the hope of a final glorification, a final breakthrough
Prodigal Sons; father divided property, both had it, young wasted, older hopeless
The older brother claimed you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate
Not true, he had already received everything from the father!
1 Peter 3:15 Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
How quick is the hope in your heart, mouth, and actions for the breakthrough?
How do you know it will break through? Because I have hope for a final breakthrough
Glorification is understanding the final hope of complete restoration for now
