Living Prepared!

After a hurricane, you take an assessment of property and life, but the best is to prepare now, 2 reasons we do not prepare, unawareness or carelessness

Living Prepared!

Exercise what are your gages telling you

Mark gages and think, more full than empty, I'm ok, not about addition but priority

Jesus taught with questions, haunting, will the son of man returns will he find faith?

Jesus is coming back, must believe; how is important, are we eager for his return?

Paul wrote Aramaic expression, Maranatha, lord comes, what will he find

1 Tim 4 teaches that some will abandon faith; our most important gage is spiritual

1 Tim 4:15-16 Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

The most important gage is living spiritually prepared

EV cars the stops programmed; they know what you need to make it to the next stop

1 Timothy 4:15-16 Be diligent in these matters. Give yourself wholly to them…

Diligent means to care for, attend to carefully, meditate on, and live what matters

This is really about what matters; what if we focus on batteries and not evacuation

So that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely…

Spiritual progress is always visible, tangible, and something others can see

Progress is internal but seen externally

Watch your life and your theology, the spiritual is connected to how treat your spouse!

Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

Your spiritual gage is never just about you, but how strong you are for others!

You cannot help others when you are underwater!

Matt 25 story of ten bridesmaids 5 being prepared, 5 are careless

The bride would wait at the father’s house for the groom, the ten would lead the way with lights

About waiting in the last days for Christ's return, represent some are careless, not evil

Matt 25:11-13 Lord, Lord, they said, “open the door for us!” But he replied, “Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.” Therefore, keep watch…

Sometimes is not about missing the gages but not caring what they say

Gas in the car at empty, light glowing, it is ok I have 30 miles

Good 5 took their role seriously, and duty, to carry the light for the couple

They were ready for the long haul; whatever it takes, not last-minute

Preparedness is what separated the wise from the foolish, caring is caused by an action

The foolish ones tried to do their job without oil, the spirit that gives us the light

The story also teaches us that some things cannot be borrowed, and must have your own

1 Thess 3:5 …when I could stand it no longer, I sent to find out about your faith. I was afraid that in some way the tempter had tempted you and that our labors might have been in vain.

Are you prepared spiritually? Are you living carelessly or in His Care?
